Rahim Jaffer, Ex MP charged with DUI
« on: March 09, 2010, 06:47:35 AM »
I wonder if this guy is going to get some strings pulled for him to beat this charge.  These politicians really make me sick with their attitude of entitlement.  I wonder if the resolution mentioned means he walks?  Goggle his wife's name, Helena Guergis.  She went ballistic in an airport security line up because she thought it was not necessary to go through the same procedure as your regular citizen needs to.  I hope this guy gets burned.

ORANGEVILLE, Ont. — Former Alberta Conservative MP Rahim Jaffer is  due in an Ontario court today to face a cocaine possession and drunk  driving charge.
His lawyer Howard Rubel says that at Jaffer’s last appearance the  court was told the case would be put over to today for a resolution.
Rubel would not say what type of resolution has been reached.
Jaffer, who is married to federal Tory cabinet minister Helena  Guergis, was charged in the village of Palgrave, north of Toronto, in  September.
Jaffer, 37, was MP for the riding of Edmonton-Strathcona from 1997  until he was defeated in the 2008 election.
