weird issue with lights
« on: March 19, 2010, 04:48:16 PM »
hey guys im having a werid issue with my turn signal and brake lights, sometimes certainly when its wet i get odd turn signals where when i brake the clicker clicks once and the right turn signal arrow lightly dims on and when i release the brake the clicker clicks again and the lights goes off, when i have the turn signal on meaning im making a turn and i brake the clicker will just be silent but the light still flashes and sometimes the clicker decides to click alot faster as if a bulb was out, i have to aftermarket lights as of yet, i think i have read this issue happen with a bad t-connector trailer package, but my truck doesnt have the t-connector stile traller package it has a bad splice job to a 4-pin trailer connector done, i was to get rid of it i believe thats the problem when its damp out it arcs and cause glitches to the computer causing my issue... but i need a new entire harness that would come from the front of the truck somewhere to the rear brake lights... anyone have any ideas what i could do, i actually have a brand new t-connector but i cant use it cause of the previous owners shitty splice job i just want a new end to end harness anyone have any ideas....

fix the bad splice job with some heat shrink, it will keep any moisture out.

I currently have a similar issue! My turn signal on my p.s. defaults to the brake light! I don't get it! And when I step on the brake with the turn signal on, the flashing stops because it goes back to my brakelight! ???
