Aftermarket Keyless Entry
« on: September 03, 2010, 07:42:55 AM »
So my Canyon came with power locks but somewhere along the line somebody lost the remotes.  I really want to get keyless entry for it but I don't want to go do the dealership and pay an outrageous amount for 2 remotes and programming.  I got a universal keyless entry system off Ebay and I've played around with it a little and it seems to work great.  If I take the power lock switch out of the door and connect it directly there it works no problem, but when I go to the BCM and try to attach it to those wires it will only lock, not unlock.
Does anybody know what wires I should be looking at?  On the switch it's light blue and dark blue, and the light blue on the BCM will lock the doors, but I can't find the unlock.  Ideally I'd like to find the wires for the original keyless module and jump on there so the keyless will be the same as stock with the different options.  Any ideas?

door unlock on the BCM is a white wire, should be next to the light blue wire.

Solid.  Going to try that when the rain stops... I'll post on how it goes.
